What happens when you approach design without a set destination?

This project began as an open-ended challenge: take some wood, dive into the workshop, and let the tools and materials guide the way. The result? A table that celebrates the beauty of improvisation, craftsmanship, and organic discovery.

The workshop became my playground as I immersed myself in the craft, using tools like the table saw, router, planer, and sander to learn by doing and let the tools shape the design.

From this exploration, the curve created from the bendy plywood emerged as the heart of the piece—both structurally and aesthetically. Its fluid shape inspired the walnut tabletop, while the straight-cut plywood base served as a visual counterbalance.
